Biography
From Senegal to France, via the United States.
Born in Senegal, Alioune DIAW learned early, through his grandfather’s healing practice, to observe living systems with care. That family legacy shaped a question that would guide his entire journey: how can traditional knowledge enter into a rigorous dialogue with science?
After earning his State Doctorate in Veterinary Sciences and Medicine from EISMV in 1995, he completed a doctorate in economics at the University of Burgundy in 1999. This dual background led him to develop a broad understanding of health, living systems and their environments.
At the University of Kentucky, where he worked as a Research and Extension Specialist, he supported farmers as they diversified their activities. Alongside this work, he pursued training in naturopathy, osteopathy and functional medicine, later completing HMx courses from Harvard Medical School.
As founder and director of the Académie de Vitalopathie, president of the Fédération Française de Naturopathie and a contributor to AFNOR standardisation work, he now focuses on teaching, structuring and advancing a rigorous, experience-based approach to natural health.
